Diane and her team from Surroundings were incredible. I had a December wedding and she did a great job of embracing the holiday feel, without pushing it over the edge. I cannot say enough about my experience with Surroundings and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
November 2011 Stone Mill
My husband and I recently got married at the Stone Mill in the Botanical Gardens, and we used Surroundings. Diane and her team truly surpassed expectations--the flowers were exquisite, and she made an absolutely stunning arch for our ceremony with autumn leaves and branches. They transformed the venue, and made me a beautiful bridal bouquet. Even though I was unclear about what I envisioned, Diane somehow managed to transform it into reality, and her knowledge of the space really helped with the details that made the evening so beautiful. I recommend them without hesitation.

Surroundings was great to work with. They are one of the approved vendors through Abigail Kirsch and we were very happy with their services. They understood our vision, knew the space we were working with very well, and made it all happen. I felt like I didn't need to worry about the flowers with them on the job. Very happy with them!

What can I say about Surrounding Flowers? ONLY THAT IF YOU WANT YOUR WEDDING TO BE ABSOLUTELY ELEGANT AND BREATH-TAKING PLEASE CALL SURROUNDING FLOWERS! My decor/flowers were perfection! I cannot express in words about how gorgeous the flowers were! I live in VA and was having my wedding in Westchester NY so I couldn't stop in and do the planning in person. I emailed Diane and began my consultation and planning! It was soooo easy and stress free. I had a few ideas, and Diane took care of everything else! She popped back a few ideas to me via email and I chose a few and changed some and BAM, flowers were planned. My bouquet was.........AMAZING! SPECTACULAR! I sent her my grandmother's handkerchief to wrap around the stems (because my grandmother couldn't be there) and they did it so elegantly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!
June 2011 New York Botanical Garden
My husband and I were overjoyed with the flowers for our wedding at the New York Botanical Garden. The arrangements captured the combination of whimsy, fresh-picked vibrancy and elegance we were looking for. Diane Wagner at Surroundings is great to work with. She returns e-mails and phone calls promptly and worked within our budget. She has an amazing repertoire of ideas for floral design and patiently worked with us as our ideas changed through the planning process. On our wedding day, she was organized and cheerful, as was her assistant. When I saw the flowers, I realized just how carefully Diane had considered all of my ideas, requests, and concerns in our many exchanges. Surroundings did a beautiful job and we give them our highest recommendation.
May 2011 Stone Mill
I can't say enough good things about Surroundings, and Diane Wagner in particular. My husband and I recently married at the NY Botanical Garden, an Abigail Kirsch venue, and we chose Surroundings as our florist because we loved Diane's classical approach to floral design. I enjoyed each meeting with Diane, who is kind and calming. I also found her easy to communicate with between visits-- she responds quickly and helpfully over email and by phone.
My husband and I had only a general idea of what we wanted for flowers, and Diane transformed this into gorgeous, personalized bouquets and centerpieces that really captured the spirit of our wedding. On the wedding day I noticed that she had added special touches in the bridal bouquet and sweetheart table centerpiece-- she really went above and beyond to make our wedding beautiful.
Diane's staff was cheerful and professional-- I enjoyed seeing them at work in the Harlem office, and they did a fantastic job setting up on the wedding day.
All in all, I highly recommend Surroundings.
